Corrigere means “to make straight, or put right,” and that’s exactly what we do. In wildfire civil cost recovery cases, fire suppression agencies submit billing packages that are often complex, technical and prone to human error. Those errors can translate into millions of dollars of unnecessary liability.
We partner with attorneys and adjusters representing clients in these cases, carefully auditing these suppression costs. And with decades of leadership in fire suppression, operations, finance and investigations, we know how these costs are built, where mistakes are likely to occur and how to identify them.

In 2010, Chris Parker and Bob McAlpine, retired CAL FIRE Deputy Chief and Fire Captain, formed McAlpine & Parker, LLC, the original Wildfire Civil Cost Recovery Auditing firm. After 15 years of assisting defense attorneys and adjusters by providing thorough and professional auditing of fire suppression cost packages, they were ready to pass the baton.
Melodie brings more than three decades of experience with CAL FIRE, where she last served as Chief of Wildland Fire Prevention, Engineering, and Investigations. Her professional background includes extensive work in fire suppression operations, command center operations, finance and civil cost recovery, and fire investigations. She is honored to continue the important work of McAlpine & Parker, LLC, assisting defense attorneys and adjusters by providing accurate, thorough, and professional auditing of fire suppression cost packages.
